Awakening to our true nature is the only way to genuine happiness. Big Sky Mind is a community of people dedicated to the path of awakening and the cultivation of insight and compassion. All are welcome to join us for mediation, reflection, and teachings during all or part of the weekend.

The retreat will focus on the 3 approaches to practice (known as the Three Vehicles) found in Tibetan Buddhism. Basic meditation instruction and meditation on love and compassion will alternate with discussions of various topics including an introduction to the history and development of Buddhism in Asia and in the West.

9:30 am-12:30   and 2:00-5pm. Lunch is potluck.

Please arrive at 9 am to register, get tea, and settle in.

You are welcome to join any and all sessions.

About the Teacher

Lama David Curtis at Glacier National Park

A native Montanan, Lama David Curtis has studied and practiced Tibetan Buddhism for over 25 years. In 1992, upon completion of a traditional Tibetan three-year meditation retreat  under Kalu Rinpoche, he was named a lama.
With his compassionate attitude and warm, engaging teaching style, Lama David makes Buddhist wisdom accessible and relevant to modern students.
