Becoming a reader of Tibetan is based upon understanding the grammatical particles. TLI is offering a new teleconference course dedicated to studying these grammatical particles as presented in the Divine Tree Grammar Poem. In this foundational text, Thumi Sambhota lays out the rules of Tibetan in a logical and memorable way.

Using the TLI workbook, commentary and CD, students can find a good way to learn both more about Tibetan as well as the great literary tradition of Tibet, and in the process, become better readers.

            Instructor:                 David Curtis completed the traditional three-year retreat under
                                               H.E. Kalu Rinpoche in 1992 and founded the Tibetan Language
                                               Institute in 1996. He has an academic background in classical
                                               languages and has been teaching Tibetan to Western students for
                                               16 years. He combines his linguistic skills with a practitioner's
                                               knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism. Rinpoches have given him the
                                               titles of Lama and a Acharya (Master Teacher).
